1. Scope
This Policy describes information that may be processed by ONYX. Discord separately processes information under its own privacy policy. This Policy does not cover Discord or third-party services.
2. Information processed
- Discord identifiers: user, server, channel, role, and message IDs needed to operate features.
- Progression data: XP, levels, Prestige status, titles, token balances, leaderboard information, and cosmetic ownership or selections.
- Server configuration: settings for leveling, moderation, automod, welcome messages, roles, logging, tickets, and enabled modules.
- Moderation and event data: records administrators choose to log, potentially including user/staff IDs, timestamps, reasons, and message or channel references.
- Diagnostics: information needed to process commands, troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse, and maintain reliability.
Do not submit passwords, payment details, government identifiers, or other sensitive personal information through ONYX.
3. Uses
Information may be used to operate requested features, maintain progression and preferences, apply server configuration, provide moderation and logging tools, prevent abuse, troubleshoot, maintain security, and respond to support or deletion requests.
4. Storage and providers
Information may be stored in the database and hosting environment used to operate ONYX. Before publishing, list the actual hosting, database, logging, and other providers and relevant locations: The ONYX bot application is hosted on Render. ONYX uses a PostgreSQL database for persistent bot data. The specific PostgreSQL hosting arrangement, provider, service region, backup configuration, and any additional logging or diagnostic providers must be confirmed by the operator before publication..
5. Sharing
Information may be accessible to authorized bot operators and server administrators through features they control, or disclosed where required by law or necessary to protect the Service and others. Confirm whether analytics or integrations receive data and describe them here.
6. Retention and deletion
Information should be retained only as long as needed for the purposes described or legitimate operational/legal needs. Actual retention depends on database, backup, and logging configuration. Add verified retention periods and deletion instructions here: A verified data-retention schedule and deletion-request procedure have not yet been supplied. Before publication, the operator must document how users can request deletion, which database records are removed, how backups and operational logs are handled, and the applicable retention periods. Until that process is confirmed, do not treat this section as a complete description of deletion or retention..
7. Security
Reasonable technical and organizational measures should protect stored information. No system can guarantee absolute security. Restrict database access, protect credentials, and rotate exposed secrets promptly.
8. Children and age requirements
ONYX is intended for people permitted to use Discord under Discord’s age requirements and applicable law. The operator does not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. Contact [Insert privacy contact] with concerns.
9. International processing
Information may be processed in countries where hosting or service providers operate. Add applicable safeguards where required.
10. Updates and contact
Updates will be posted here with a revised effective date. Privacy questions or requests: [Add a monitored ONYX privacy contact email before public launch] or the official ONYX support server.
